Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, met with the Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade of Serbia, Jagoda Lazarević

The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili, met with the Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Serbia, Jagoda Lazarević.

During the meeting, the parties discussed perspectives for deepening economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as issues regarding trade and economic ties, and cooperation in the tourism and transport sectors.

Mariam Kvrivishvili emphasized the positive dynamics in Georgia-Serbia economic relations. Special attention during the meeting was paid to the ongoing process of concluding a Free Trade Agreement between the two nations, which will significantly contribute to further increasing trade turnover.

She introduced the Serbian delegation to Georgia’s favorable investment environment.

When discussing cooperation in the tourism and transport sectors, it was noted that the number of tourists from Serbia to Georgia is growing, and direct flights play an important role in stimulating tourist flows and strengthening business connections between the two countries.
