Officers from the Tbilisi Main Division of the Patrol Police Department, operating under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, have apprehended 4 foreign nationals in separate operations. The individuals face charges related to the illegal purchase, possession, and facilitation of the sale of an especially large quantity of narcotics.
During searches conducted in Tbilisi - encompassing the suspects` persons, residences, and vehicles, as well as several alternative drop locations - law enforcement seized a substantial cache of diverse narcotics packaged for distribution as material evidence. The confiscated substances include Methadone, Alpha-PVP, Thebaine, Codeine, Morphine, and dried marijuana.
In addition to the illicit substances, officers recovered specialized materials utilized for weighing and packaging the drugs.
The investigation is currently active under Articles 260 and 260-quarta of the Criminal Code of Georgia. If convicted, the suspects face penalties ranging up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
