As part of the marketing campaign by the National Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, a roadshow about Georgia was held in India.
Large-scale events were organized in Bengaluru and Chennai. The Ambassador of Georgia to India, Vakhtang Jaoshvili, participated in the roadshow. Ten Georgian tourism companies took part in the event, and nearly 100 tour operators from India attended the meetings held in both cities.
Alongside the presentations, the events included B2B work meetings. Representatives of Georgian and Indian tourism companies discussed prospects for future cooperation. The conversations focused on attracting group tours to Georgia in business tourism, adventure tourism, medical and wellness, as well as maritime and mountain destinations.
India represents one of the important and growing tourist markets for Georgia. The activities carried out by the National Tourism Administration in India’s largest cities aim to raise the country’s awareness and attract high-spending tourist flows from India.
