The Mtskheta District Court fully accepted the evidence presented by the Prosecutor`s Office and found two defendants guilty of the intentional murder of two persons under aggravating circumstances and the illegal acquisition, storage, and carrying of firearms.

The evidence examined during the trial confirmed that on January 24 of this year, in the village of Mukhrani, Mtskheta Municipality, the defendants fired several shots from firearms at two people in retaliation and fled the scene. As a result of the injuries inflicted, both people died on the spot. The actions committed by the defendants also endangered the lives and health of other people present at the scene.

The defendants were charged under Article 109, Subparagraphs "b", "i" and "l" of the Criminal Code of Georgia (murder committed in a group against two persons by means that intentionally endanger the life and health of another person), and Article 236, Part Six, Subparagraphs "a" and "b" (illegal acquisition, storage and carrying of firearms and ammunition in a group by a person convicted of the same crime).
