"Georgian Amelioration" Ltd held a presentation of the enhanced capabilities and modern technical equipment of its Inspection Office.

Within the presentation, new branded vehicles, modern specialized technical equipment, including modern unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), as well as personal protective and field equipment of the inspection office were presented. The new equipment will help employees perform their daily duties more efficiently.

The event was opened by Gigla Tamazashvili, the company’s General Director. He spoke about the importance of strengthening the Inspection Office and mentioned that the implemented reform significantly enhances the company`s capacity.

"The strengthened Inspection Office and modern technological capabilities will significantly improve quality of the services and make them even more flexible and customer-oriented. It’d be noted that the function of the Inspection Office is not limited to identifying violations and imposing fines. It will also serve as a link between the company and its customers, ensuring a prompt response from the company to any issue reported through the hotline", - said Gigla Tamazashvili.

The event was attended by Lasha Dolidze and Zurab Ezugbaia, Deputy Ministers of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, senior officials from various agencies under the Ministry, the State Representative in Kvemo Kartli, as well as representatives of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission, donor organizations, and "Georgian Amelioration" Ltd.

"Strengthening the Inspection Office is an important direction of the company`s institutional development and is essential both for the commercial efficiency and technical safety of "Georgian Amelioration". High qualifications of the employees enable the company to assess the condition of infrastructure quickly and accurately and respond in a timely manner. As a result, the monitoring of irrigation and drainage infrastructure will be significantly improved, and the mechanisms for operational response will be further enhanced", - said Zurab Ezugbaia, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture.

The drones were transferred to "Georgian Amelioration" Ltd by the World Bank within the framework of the "Georgia Resilient Agriculture Irrigation and Land (GRAIL) Project". This represents an important part of the process of strengthening the company`s technological capacity and introducing modern monitoring systems.

The modern unmanned aerial vehicles will enable the company to rapidly assess the condition of irrigation infrastructure, identify technical problems in a timely manner, monitor large areas, and effectively plan necessary response.
