Pressure on Supreme Court - Nika Gvaramia"s briefing

A Director General of Rustavi2 held  a special briefing  . Nika Gvaramia has spoken  about pressure on the Supreme Court.

According to him, a panel of judges, which discusses the case  of Rustavi 2 has decided to hear the case, however they are being pressured. Nika Gvaramia claims that the Security Service is also involved in the issue.

" Along with the NATO Secretary General"s visit to Georgia, dark deeds are being implemented at the Supreme Court.

" The Panel of judges, which considers this case has a decision to hear this case, however the are being pressured by Georgian government. Individual officials, judges are involved in this process. The judges are being pressured from outside as well and the Security Services are also involved in the process.

I will name the person, who is destroying  the court from within and implements the most difficult orders. Valeri  Tsertsvadze was in the Court of Appeals and Mikheil Chinchaladze is in the Supreme Court. He is a deputy Chairman of the Court. Mr. Tsertsvadze as well as Mr. Chinchaladze have beem  in a previous government, and now they represent Georgian Dream.

Mr. Chinchladze  hinders the panel of judges to take an independent decision. Chinchaladze  acts with government. He communicates with the government  through the first deputy chairman of the Chamber of Control-Ivane Zarduashvili.

" Supposedly this person is in the electoral list of Georgian Dream. Mr. Chinchaladze"s wife- Marika Marikashvili is Zardiashvili"s employee. she has 2500 GEL as salary but no one has seen her at work. This family is  completely merged with the authorities. . They are connected by financial interests,"- said Nika Gvaramia.

The Director General of Rustavi2 has appealed to  citizens, politicians, non-governmental organizations, diplomats, the president, the Chairman of the parliament and the Chairman of the Supreme Court. Nika Gvaramia asks them to help Rustavi2 and judges to prevent pressure.
