It too almost eght months the Constitutional Court to issue the ruling on Rustavi 2 lawsuit. On the last day of the term of two judges the lawsuit of the TV company`s lawyers was satisfied and the normative content of the Civil Procedure Code was annuled.

The Constitutional Court decision held that the immediate enforcement of the decision should be taken by the judge on basis of equal involvement of the sides. it was also determinated in which case the appointment of the interim manager of the television s unconstitutional.

Rustavi 2 lawyers say that the Constitutional Court`s decision confirmed that Tamaz Urtmelidzem acted with respect to Rustavi 2 against the Constitution.

From lawsuits filed by Rustavi 2 , the Panel considered only two. In April, when the new law on the Constitutional Court was enacted, Merab Turava requested the consderation of the lawsuts bythe Plenum . The current compostion of the Plenum failed to issue decision on these lawsuits.
