Rustavi 2 planned to hold live election debates with the participation of six main political party leader . All these political forces were ready to participate in the debates . The only one that did not want to answer the questions of people prior to the elections was the Georgian Dream party .

Ivanishvili`s election team violated the preliminary agreement on the format and theikr participation and informed Rustavi2 in an SMS-that the party would not participate in the debates.

According to the format of the political debates , which were to be held today, leaders of six paries were to answer questions on ten main topics for which the leaders were given equal time.

The ruling party has not made any comment on the reason of boycotting the election debates.

According to the decision of Rustavi 2 news producing group, all of the parties who were ready to participate in the election debate, Rustavi 2 will give equal air time tomorrow at 21:30 to address the voters a few hours before before the election
