NATO-Georgia Drills 2016 begin

NATO-Georgia Drills 2016 begin. The official opening ceremony at the Vaziani base is underway. Eleven NATO member and partner countries together with Georgian armed forces will participate in the large-scale exercise, which will last for 10 days.
In total 250 troops are involved in the exercises.For first time in the history of the NATO-Georgia relations the exercises will be headed by of the Georgian General Staff. Command and staff exercises are designed for the joint actions in crisis situations and for enhanced interoperability of the armed forces with NATO.
