Non-governmental organizations and media experts call on the Supreme Court to take an objective decision on Rustavi2 case.

According to human rights defenders, the considerations of the case in the lower instances courts were politically motivated.

"No one questions the fact that the process was aimed at changing Rustavi2`s editorial policy and there were clear signs of political interest of various political forces.

"It is very important to look at the Supreme Court decision. We hope that the violations that took place at the previous stage, will no longer take place," - said the executive director of the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy Michael Benidze.

The third sector believes that the Supreme Court by its decision should not put under question the freedom of speech and media independence in the country .
