Civil sector calls on the Supreme Court to annule the seizure of "Rustavi 2" property. They claim that it has been confirmed that the consideration of the case is conducted by unconstitutional provisions.

"It will have very serious consequences for our state, if Rustavi 2 has to stop broadcasting because of financial problems. No one would believe that this is doen due to narrow legal arguments. . This is done for political reasons," - says constitutionalist Konstantin Chokoraia.

Yesterday the Constitutional Court Plenum found unconstitutional the provisions, which were adopted by the majority seven months ago by the accelerated procedure and according to which Rustavi 2 case was handed over to the plenum.

The TV company lawyer calls on the Supreme Court to unfreeze the seizure.. The station`s Director General spoke about problems caused by seizure at the briefing.

According to Gvaramia, financial problems pose a threat that Rustavi 2 TV will not be able to function.
