The civil sector has question marks with regard to the court`s decision about Rati Gachechiladze`s preventive measures . Some NGOs said that the attack on Nika Gvaramia was an act of violence and the perpetrator deserved a more severe sentence as a preventive measure.
According to them, it must be ascertained whether the offense is committed by one person or it was a group attack, as the injured party claims.
"This is a crime of violence, which envisages is much stricter penalty, and most importantly, the court should take into consideration that Gachechiladze did not believe that what he had done was a problem. Letting him free is the answer to the rest of society, that the Court did not consider the problem the physical abuse of citizens, "- said Giorgi Mshvenieradze.
