The United States Ambassador to  Georgia commented on the developments around Rustavi 2. Ian Kelly said the television should remain in the current format as it is essential for having pluralism in the country.

According to the Ambassador, they are closely following the Rustavi 2 case.

"We are closely following this case . Our vision regarding the case is well known. We want to be sure that Rustavi 2 remains as it is. It is an important voice for the opposition. We hope that Rustavi 2 TV will remain, nothing will change and it will remain as an important voice of pluralism in Georgia, "- said Ian Kelly.
