28 years have passed since April 9 terrible tragedy. Today Georgia recalls the heroes and one of the most fearsome day in its history.On April 9, 1989, at dawn, the Soviet Union`s armed forces disperced a peaceful demonstration in the center of Tbilisi.

As a result 21 people died and thousands of people were poisoned by an unknown gas. The victims were paid tribute in Rustaveli Avenue today . The victims were commemorated by lit candles and flowers once again .
