Second round of so-called presidential elections in occupied South Ossetia may be held

The runoff of the so-called presidential elections in occupied South Ossetia may be held. According to the current data , none of the candidates has overcome the 50% threshold.

According to preliminary data, more than 48 percent voted for the Parliamentary speaker Anatoly Bibilov , while " President Leonid Tibilova received 26% of votes.

As for the referendum, 78 percent of the voters supported.to change the name of the South Ossetia for Alania. Counting of votes is still underway.

Elections were observed by representatives of Russia and occupied Crimea . According to them, the elections were conducted without violations.
