Another resolution of US Congress mentioning Georgia

The United States Congress adopted another resolution, which mentions Georgia. Bi-partizan document in support of NATO and Eastern European countries was presented in the House of Representatives by a Republican Congressman Steve Cohen and a democrat John Shimkus .

The document views NATO as the most important and critical in terms of security link among the NATO, the US and Europe The document focuses on the US"s full support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the former states of the Soviet Union,

The Resolution describes the Russian aggression towards NATO member states and its partner countries, including the Russian occupation of the Georgian territory in 2008.

The resolution underlines the need for increased support of the NATO`s partner countries.
