The government disapproves a draft law on tobacco control . The government"s parliamentary secretary, Akaki Zoidze has sent a 17-page letter to the Chairman of the Health Committee. The letter includes number of references in regard to bans , which should be in a draft law on tobacco control.

According to one of the articles the tobacco products, accessories and equipment for consumption should not be displayed on windows, counters and shelves.

The Government believes that it is important to maintain the opportunity to inform customers . According to them the amendment will significantly damage sites where tobacco is sold.
