The lawyers of the Former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Gela Khvedelidze, accuse the investigation of being biased. They have already studied the case materials and say that law enforcers are not interested in opening this crime.
"The investigative body is either unqualified or simply unable to open a crime. In any occasion we see that the state does not want to open a crime against Gela Khvedelidze, "said the lawyer Archil Chubinidze.
According to them, the case materials are approximately 200 pages, but no valuable evidence has not obtained by the investigation during the 3 weeks. According to lawyers, there is no direct witness in the case and there are no video recordings of Barnovi street surveillance cameras.
Attorneys today petitioned police to remove video recordings from about 20 objects in Barnovi and Tarkhnishvili streets.
