Representatives of Georgian NGOs will meet with the Venice Commission regarding to the constitutional amendments and the new draft constitution. They have already begun to work on their official appeal. The document will include all the remarks, the third sector have been demanding for several months without any result.

Members of the NGOs in the Constitutional Commission are aware that it will not be difficult to convince European experts that the electoral system is unfair. According to them the representatives of the Venice Commission were in Tbilisi a few weeks ago and were not hiding their attitude towards the new electoral model.

They are not sure about the Venice Commission’s position in regard to presidential elections.
