26 years since the establishment of Georgian Armed Forces - celebration events were held in Vaziani 4th Mechanical Brigade. A total of 263 new recruits took the oath. They have undergone 3 month course of combat training and will continue serving in the Georgian Armed Forces in the next 9 months.

After the oath ceremony, the President of Georgia addressed the new recruits and soldiers.

Minister of Defense Levan Izoria also delivered a speech.

To commemorate the 26th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces , the memorial for military servicemen killed in the August 2008 war and international missions was opened .
