"This is a government that can block the lawyer of Girgvliani`s case and give priority to Gvantsa Kuparadze`s case judge," - the statement was made by the international law specialist Davit Jandieri regarding the candidates to the European Court of Human Rights.
Lawyers and civil society representatives believe that the special government commission has made a political decision.
"This is a political decision taken by the commission comprised by representatives of the government," - said David Jandieri.
Chairman of the Bar Association, Khatiashvili, thinks that the Commission`s decision was agreed upon in advance.
"Tamar Alania came from the Council of Justice, Getsadze from the Council of Justice and Dondoladze from the Prosecutor`s Office, which indicates that the state has agreed in advance to vote for these three candidates," - Zaza Khatiashvili said.
Giorgi Mshvenieradze, the chairman of the non-governmental organization Georgian Democratic Initiative, said that the Commission did not distribute the points among the candidates fairly.
"The fact that Konstantin Korkelia, Konstantin Varkzelashvili, Dato Jandieri, Beso Bokhashvili, are at least 4 people received low grades and there are at least 3 nominees ahead of them who I can not say that are distinguished professionals, indicates that the Commission waseither incompetent, or inadequate and biased in their assessments, "- said George Mshvenieradze.
