The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia responded to the resolution adopted by the UN on the Status of Internally Displaced Persons and Refugees from Occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali Region. According to Davit Zalkaliani, the resolution condemns forced demographic changes in the occupied region of Georgia.
"The resolution is based on its humanitarian nature and emphasizes the fundamental right of these people to return to their places of residence and condemns forced demographic changes in the occupied territories of Georgia, the resolution calls on the participants of the Geneva talks to activate their efforts in the direction of human rights in order to improve the situation in the country, "- said the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Davit Zalkaliani.
