The non-parliamentary opposition opposes the amendments to the electoral code, according to which electoral committees will be comprised only by parties that pass the threshold or those parties who form the faction in parliament. The opposition thinks that the government is preparing to falsify future elections and that is why it needs to increase the number of its representatives in the commission.

"After this change, they will have 4 members in the Commission and if we consider that the members of the commission elected on the professional basis are loyal to the Georgian Dream authorities, it will be full control over the election commissions," -
said Nino Goguadze, the political secretary of Free Democrats.

Bachuki Kardava, the chairperson of the National Democratic Party of Georgia made an announcement to make an attempt to falsify elections.
