As the Chairman of the Parliament stated at the briefing today, as a result of consultations, the decision was madethat the Georgian Constitution will have a record that the alienation of agricultural land will not be allowed.
Kobakhidze said that the Georgian land will remain in the possession of Georgian state and citizens of Georgia.

"We have to confront two interests, it is a strategic interest that the Georgian land remains essentially in the possession of Georgian state and Georgian citizens. Second interest is, of course, economic interest. We have analyzed the effect of this regulation on both factors, and we came to the decision to give preference to the first factor.Therefore, this is not a populist decision, "- said Irakli Kobakhidze.
