Inter RAO"s press Secretary comments on the suit against Georgian government.
According to Nikolay Gorelov the company filed a lawsuit last year due to the denial on the demand to increase tariff . The Russian company is demanding compensation for increasing electricity tariffs and currency devaluations and talks about loss of tens of millions of USD.

"These are the suits , filled by out Dutch daughter companies. I mean two lawsuits, which are linked to the paragraph, which exists in a memorandum signed with the Georgian government, according to which in case of depreciation of GEL the compensation must be payed through the increase of the tariff,"- says Nikolay Gorelov.

Mariam Valishvili, a Deputy Minister of Energy of Georgia declares that she does not share the company"s position. According to her, the Ministry of Justice will get acquainted with the suit and afterward it will decide what positions will be identified by the Georgian side.
