International partners address Georgian political parties stating to have more involvement of women as well as more candidates in politics.
The United Nations Development Program has shown a gender imbalance in Georgian politics. As the involvement of women in the politics has grown by 3% compared to previous years it is still significantly lower than in other countries
“There is a progress in women involvement it is still not enough. The growth is 3% which is good but out of 143 countries that women are involved in politics Georgia is 124th”- states UNDP’s permanent representative to Georgia Niels Scott.
