Presidents of Georgia and Kazakhstan made statements for media after the face-to-face and extended meetings. Among the discussed issues were difficulties in the region and the Silk Road prospects. Giorgi Margvelashvili has invited Nursultan Nazarbayev to visit Georgia. The first visit of the President of Georgia to Kazakhstan has coincided with the 25th anniversary of restoration of diplomatic ties between Georgia and Kazakhstan and International Exhibition Expo 2017.

"We spoke about the difficulties Georgia has in the region and I want to thank Mr. President for his firm support for Georgia"s sovereignty and territorial integrity," Margvelashvili said.

President of Kazakhstan emphasized the importance of the development of silk road.
