Istanbul police detained five more citizens of Georgia. According to the local media, detainees are charged with extortion of money.

According to the media, a group of Georgians acted in Istanbul for the last one year and seized 1 million 500 thousand Turkish lira while committing various crimes.

Media security publishes records and writes that the detention operation was held in three districts of the city on June 17.

The suspects have been already sentenced to preliminary custody.
