Today the Islamic world is celebrating the holiday of Bayram. After a one-month fast, a festive prayer was held in two places in Batumi for the first time. Believers in the old mosque were also gathered at the site where the City Hall refused the Muslims to to build a mosque. The local government traditionally came to the old mosque and congratulated the gathered pbelievers on the holiday.
