Irakli Mamaladze, the main witness of the so called Cyanid case, sues Rustavi 2 at prosecutor`s office. On June 24, the former head of the criminal police, currently convicted, Irakli Pirtskhalava, wrote a letter to rustavi2 saying that the main witness of the cyanide cae , Irakli Mamaladze, was the agent of special services.

Irakli Mamaladze addressed the Prosecutor`s Office and accused the journalists and Irakli Pirtskhalava on putting pressure on him as a witness of the cyanide case . Prosecutor"s Office immediately investigated the fact of possible impact on the witness by Irakli Pirtskhalava. Irakli Mamaladze addressed the Investigative Office on Sunday, the day after the prosecutor`s office started to investigate the case.

Today, Irakli Mamaladze`s lawyer Lali Aptsiauri visited the Prosecutor`s Office to find out the details of the investigation. According to the lawyer, Irakli Pirtskhalava had no connection with her client.

"The information was spread based on a letter sent by convict Irakli Pirtskhalava. Of course, based on absurd accusations. In this regard, my client considered it as a psychological pressure against him and that"s how it is ... Irakli says that is the spreadying of unverified information, "- said Lali Aptsiauri.

Lali Aptsiauri requested information about the progress of the investigation from the Prosecutor`s Office. Irakli Mamaladze did not appear in the Prosecutor`s Office today and made no statement in the media.
