The investigative activities related to St. George Church in Marneuli district have ended. The damages to the church that has a status of cultural heritage include broken glasses, damaged entrance door and the outdoor lighting system .

Representatives of the Monument Protection Agency visited the scene. They call on the law enforcers to investigate the fact.
In the diocese of Marneuli and Hujube, the incident was called a vandal and barbaric act.

The investigation is under way under Article 259 (2), which implies damage or intentional destruction of a cultural heritage and envisages imprisonment for up to 2 years.
