The parliamentary opposition states that the constitutional amendments are undemocratic and intends to present its own arguments to the president of the Venice Commission.

Prior to the meeting with Gianni Buquicchio, opposition leaders say that the legitimacy of the constitutional project is unfounded.

"Obviously, this document can not have any level of legitimacy, because it is not based on consensus. This is the "Georgian dream" against everyone, because the president, political parties, civil sector, everyone else contradict this document, "said Tinatin Bokuchava, member of United National Movement.

Sergi Kapanadze, one of the leaders of European Georgia also focuses on frustration of experts from the Venice Commission. As Mr. Kapanadze says , the ruling party created a constitution that is tailored to the interests of the international community and approved it by two hearings.
