Interview with three candidates to the Strasbourg Court will be held on September 29. Interview with Lado Chanturia, Lali Papiashvili and Otar Sichinava will be held at the Council of Europe Inter-Parliamentary Committees.

This procedure is the second part of the three-stage competition.

After that, one or two candidates selected by the committee members will be voted for at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. In case of approval, the European Court of Human Rights of Strasbourg will have a new judge elected for a term of nine years.

"Now, as they say, the ball is in their pitch, I wish all three candidates to have a successful interview, because the Council of Europe has already decided to vote for the best," said Justice Minister Tea Tsulukiani.
