Georgian Justice independence decreased by 24 points - World Economic Forum

According to the World Economic Forum survey, Georgia is ranked 87th out of 137 countries according to Justice Independence Index. Georgia is behind  Azerbaijan by 37 places in the ranking. The rating was reduced by 24 points compared to last year and moved from 63 to 87.

The Chairman of the Bar Association assesses the results of the survey as "the complete failure of the judicial system.

According to Zaza Khatiashvili, "13 Georgian judges wrote the verdict of the Georgian judiciary on the decision of Rustavi 2".

According to the NGOs, the Rustavi2 case is one of those named in the list of the most corrupt cases of the Georgian judiciary.

The third sector has long been calling on the government for reform in the judiciary system.
