Irakli Nadareishvili, the prosecutor of Mikheil Saakashvili"s case made the first comment regarding the conviction of the third President of Georgia.

Irakli Nadareishvili says that this fact should serve as prevention and show that everyone regardless of the official status is equal before the law.

"This case has two sides, one is the human side and it"s sad that a former president of the country was declared guilty today. As a fact, this is really sad, but the second is the legal side and this case should be turned into a kind of prevention. Despite the hierarchical situation of state political persons, it should be a preventive example that all are equal to the law, "Irakli Nadareishvili said.

Asked whether the case was precedential, as the president Saakashvili was convicted due to using his constitutional right, the prosecutor said that the question was an attempt to mislead the society.
