Fined Undermelidze, MPs and Ministers-Prosecutor"s Office studes assets of sevem high-ranking officials

Prosecutor"s Office is studying 7 high-profile cases. The Investigative Office was interested in the officials based on information of the Civil Service Bureau. It turns out that 7 persons vio;ated the requirements of the law and did not record their ownership of the property in the declaration. Prosecutors have to determine what amount of money was hidden and how much income these persons received from the property. The names of these officials are not mentioned at this stage.

The Civil Service Bureau has chosen 284 cases by a random number of declarations from a few thousand officials and found that 80 percent of the documents was drawn up by violations. They were fined with 1000 GEL. Among them are the acting Minister of Defense Levan Izoria and former Minister of Education Tamar Sanikidze. 12 members of the Parliament were fined for gaps in the declarations.

Among the persons fined by the Civil Service Bureau are the judges. Tamaz Undmelidze, judge of Rustavi 2 case, was also fined for misrepresentation of the data on real estate.
