Ministry of Internal Affairs launches an investigation into the incident in Varketili

The Isani-Samgori Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation under the article 240 part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia regarding the fact that occurred in the Varketili metro station, which implies a violation of safety rules in mining, construction or other work.

14 people were injured as a result of the incident in Varketili metro station, one of them is a policeman.

According to MIA, active investigative actions are underway to determine the causes of the incident.
