The opposition demands a specific response to the incident in Varketili metro station. They are summoning the mayor of Tbilisi and the heads of several city services to Tbilisi Sakrebulo. The government"s opponents speak about the necessity of appointment of an extraordinary session in find out the reasons of the incident  and the collapse of the ceiling in the metro station .

Irakli Nadiradze, Chairman of the Faction "United National Movement" stated that the company "Kvarelremmsheni", which renovated metro station "Varketili" was included in the black list and "Georgian Dream" is linked to lobbying it.
He also noted that the company has also done other works.

"The fact is that this company has also been given the right to carry out various jobs, and has received several million dollars from the state They renovated schools, as well as the kindergartens and some units of the MIA, so the question is whether there was a corruption deal connected with the lobbying of a particular company, "Nadiradze said.

Chairman of the Tbilisi Sakrebulo Faction "European Georgia - Tbilisi" Giorgi Gabashvili states that it is important to find out why suspended ceiling was installed despite the experts" recommendations.

Yesterday the ceiling collapsed in the subway station of "Varketili" , which was renovated in the summer of 2017 by the company "Kvarelremmshen". 14 people were injured as a result of collapse.

Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi Ilia Eloshvili says that the Sakrebulo is ready to meet the opposition.

"If it is an official requirement, I do not think it"s a problem. We are supporting the punishment of all persons who are responsible, "- said Ilia Eloshvili.
