Russia has renewed cold war policy - Margvelashvili delivered a speech at Brussels Forum

The aggressive policy of Russia and its threats were one of the main topics at Brussels Forum. In the discussion entitled "Euro-Atlantic Integration Process", President of Georgia, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, European Commissioner and Ukrainian Special Representative in the negotiations on Ukraine crisis took part.

The discussion lasted about an hour in which President Margvelashvili said that Russia continues the aggressive policy towards neighboring countries.

"Russia"s policy does not need special intelligence, they openly speak about it. Russia has a cold war renewal policy and we should work out a joint response policy and not a separate one. We must be adequate to reality, and the reality is that we see Russia"s increasingly aggressive policy towards its neighborhood and we see a new Cold War effort ... I think we should speed up solving issues related to Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova, "Margvelashvili said. .

Ukraine"s Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Ivana Klimpush-Tsintsadze notes that NATO members will have to return to the statement of Bucharest Summit in 2008 that Ukraine and Georgia will become NATO members.
