The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Natia Mezvrishvili comments on the recomendations, established by the investigative commission on the murder of teenagers concerning the detention of Mikheil Kalandia.

According to Mezvrishvili, one of the two recommendations issued by the investigative commission is the competence of the Prosecution Service (starting criminal prosecution against Kalandia). As for the second recommendation on the investigation into the fact of wounding the third teenager, the Deputy Minister says that investigation into the case has already begun.

"The recommendation issued by the Investigation Commission to the Ministry of Internal Affairs is not a formal one, I think it is formal that the commission calls on the investigation to start investigations in the case. It is a bit confusing , that as a result of such long-term work the investigative commission came to this conclusion.

The Investigation is underway in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. As far as you know, two persons have already been detained . We do not rule out that there will be other detainees in regard to this case, "said Mezvrishvili.
