"Courier" crew spoke to friends of the Smith family in Marneuli. Ryan and Laura Smith, who was murdered in Khada Gorge along with their 4-year-old son, came from California in 2011 to live in Georgia. They are citizens of Georgia since 2012.

The Smiths used to live in Marneuli, where they had an enterprise of the handmade carpets and were sending them to the USA.

" We know each other of 4-5 years already I knew Lola, his wife very well. Our children were growing up together. They loved Georgian people,"- said Sabina Talibova, a friend of the Smith family.
