The European Parliament has discussed the implementation of the Association Agreement between Georgia and the European Union. The report of the rapporteur Andrejs Mamikins on the issue of Georgia was discussed in the Foreign Affairs Committee .

Nina Mikhelidze, the International expert delivered a speech addressing the political part of the Association Agreement as the country"s major challenge.

According to her, the main challenge is informal governance and weak institutions .

"Georgia faces systemic challenges when it deals with the implementation of the political part of the Association Agreement. The main challenges are informal governance and policy making in the backstage,"- said expert Nona Mikhelidze.
