Irakli Kobakhidze, who is on an official visit to the Swiss Confederation, has participated in the round table - "Legal State, Human Rights, State and Religion".

Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia spoke about the importance of close political cooperation with Switzerland and Georgia-Russia relations.

"The Swiss Confederation plays an important political role for Georgia in the process of integration with West, as well as mediation between Georgia and Russia. As you know, we have significant problems and challenges with Russia, 20% of the territory of our country is occupied by the Russian Federation and Switzerland helps us to maintain relations with Russia. In the relations with them, we have achieved humanitarian and economic aspects, as well as in transport and trade, and as for political relations, there is no advancement here, but with global tendencies and development it is likely to reach success in this regard, "said Irakli Kobakhidze.
