I accept Mikheil Saakashvili"s apology - one of the leaders of Republican Party- Levan Berdzenishvili responds to the journalist"s question about the "National Movement" accusations.

He was asked about UNM"s statement, made in 2007, where the party accused Berdzemnoshvili of cooperation with the Russian special services and published a recording of the phone call.

Levan Berdzenishvili says he has already discussed this issue with the candidate of the united opposition, as received Mikheil Saakashvili"s apology. According to Berdzenishvili, he had a phone conversation with the Russian Embassy and has never been in touch with Russian security services.

"I think it"s not easy for the President of Georgia, the former or the current, to apologize, and I think that"s a serious step from him," Berdzenishvili says.
