16 people detained during the rally on Chavchavadze and Melikishvili avenues - MIA

This morning, the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained a total of 16 people during the rally on Chavchavadze and Melikishvili avenues in Tbilisi.

According to the agency, all 16 persons are detained in an administrative manner. At the moment, 3 persons have been released by signature.

The participants of the rally, who spent the night on Chavchavadze Avenue last night, were called by the law enforcement officers to disband at dawn today. The police also destroyed the tents belonging to the protesters. There was also a physical confrontation between the participants of rally and the law enforcers.
