Tbilisi City Hall responds to developments on Rustaveli Avenue last night. It notes that the letter of the City Hall was misinterpreted and followed by political speculations.

According to the City Hall, the New Year events planned for December have nothing to do with the developments on Rustaveli Avenue yesterday.

"City Hall administration in the period envisaged by law, within three days, in a response letter informed the organizers of the December schedule of events and appealed to them to take into account the circumstances. City Hall has no authority to prohibit or allow the demonstrators to place tents. We call on politicians and the media not to use the administrative process for political purposes, "- is said in a statement released by the City Hall.
