The opposition assesses the delay of the date of holding the elections as a political decision.
The MPs say that the CEC and the ruling team are trying to appoint a second tour in the middle of the week to ensure that an employed voter can not reach the polling stations.
"It will be totally unacceptable that the second round of elections will be appointed on the working day, it will be perceived as an attempt of the government to hinder the electoral process.
"We know that elections are always held on weekend to enable citizens to vote both in Georgia and abroad," said Salome Samadashvili, a member of the National Movement.
The parliamentary minority states that the government wants more people to stay home because they know that they will be defeated in the second round of elections.
"The government is trying to make more people stay home because they feel they are approaching failure," said Otar Kakhidze, member of the "European Georgia".
The ruling team denies their link to the appointment of election. In the "Georgian Dream" they state that it is a politically independent procedure and the decision is made by the CEC.
