"If anyone could not enter Georgia"s territory, there would have been a legitimate basis," the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civil Equality Issues said on the fact that the Russian directors wre not allowed to cross the border.
The Minister also commented on the ongoing cinema festival in Tbilisi. Ketevan Tsikhelashvili is not surprised that the Russian Ministry of Culture is trying to manage some activities here.
""It is not surprising that the Ministry of Culture of occupant country is beng active. It is unknown to me and I can not understand what date with Russia the conversation is about. As for the fact of not allowng some persons to enter the country, I have full confidence in our law enforcement agencies that they are acting in the frame of the law, if anybody can not enter the territory of Georgia, it has a legitimate basis. As for other Russian citizens, a million and a half of tourists come here per year and no one has problems. If the law is violated, then law enforcement bodies will always act in accordance with the law, "said Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
Russian directors who have come to participate in the Cinematographic Festival "A Date with Russia" were not allowed to enter the country.
