The government"s administration sends a special order to public agencies to avoid using administrative resources in the second round of the presidential election.
There are a number of restrictions set for civil servants during the election campaign.
According to the deputy head of the government"s administration, such information was sent to public agencies before the first round of elections as well.
"On 28 October 2018, presidential elections will be held in a peaceful, democratic and free environment, in compliance with and full observation of the Georgian legislation, which was noted in reports of a number of international observation missions. Consequently, it is important that the second round of elections will be held in compliance with the same standards. To do so, the Government of Georgia issued a decree on November 19, 2018 to remind public servants employed in public sector once againabout the obligations and restrictions set by the electoral legislation, "- said Alexander Darakhvelidze, deputy head of the Georgian government"s administration.
