BBC responds to the preliminary results of the second round of presidential elections in Georgia. An article published on the web site of influential British television station says that international observers estimate that the first round of presidential elections was uneven.

The author of the article writes that Salome Zourabichvili, in parallel with the West, favors  Georgia"s balance of relations with Russia, while Mr. Vashadze estimates as a pro-Western candidate. The BBC points out that the second round of the tournament significantly defines how the 2020 parliamentary elections will be held.
